Hailing from Pennsylvania, where his alma mater – Lafayette College – also resides, Derek is a team guy through and through. For him, the most rewarding part of working for AST is the collaboration that occurs and the culture that has been built around the belief in each other’s diverse abilities and project input. The most interesting project he has worked on is the Stauffer Chemical Superfund Site in Tampa, Florida.
Outside of the office, Derek enjoys sports and traveling with his family. He also volunteers his time coaching lacrosse, and is proud to have seen some of his young athletes move on to play for prominent lacrosse prep schools and collegiate rosters. If you happen to catch his “Out-of-Office” message, he might just be on the beach in Hawaii, listening to grunge or country music, possibly reading a book on World War II history.
